HELLO ALL,

I HAVE A 06 F-250 FOUR DOOR, 8IN PRO COMP LIFT. AND RUNNING 37'S. THE PROBLEM IM HAVING IS THAT IM GETTING A BOUNCH, COMPARABLE TO OUT OF BALANCE TIRE AT 45-50MPH. TIRES HAVE BEEN BALANCED, ROTATED, AND I EVEN GOT RID OF A SET OF 38.5'S CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM, DUAL SHOCKS ON BOTH CORNERS. ALL BOLTS ARE TIGHT, I FOUND THAT THE SHOCK SLEEVES IN THE BUSHINGS WERE TOO SHORT, REPLACED THEM. THE DRIVE SHAFT IS BALANCED, THE CARRIER BEARING IS GOOD, IM AT A LOSS OF WHERE TO GO FROM HERE OTHER THAN TAKE THE LIFT OFF!!! WHICH I REALLY DONT WANNA DO. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!

Fiorst off, before you get flamed, turn off the caps lock!

Sounds like classic death wobble to me. Check all of your steering components (drag link, tie rods, etc.) and make sure you have ZERO play. Check ball joints, wheel bearings, everything. It will also be helpful to have someone turn the steering wheel right to left and back while you inspect movement then set the front end on jackstands and repeat. Look at everything that moves closely. Could be one thing, could be a number of things just don't give up.

had 36s on a chevrolet one time that the balance patch on the INSIDE of the tire came loose. couldnt get em to balance for crap and had serious DW. (somebody told me to start charging admission to that ride!) finally found it when i bought new radials. figured this might help.

did you adjust your caster angles when you lifted it 8"?

If not thats where Id start looking.

Check the track bar angle also. They send a drop braket but from what ive heard an adjustable track bar is recomended.

I just went through the same problem with my 01 F250, i replaced the u-joints on both shafts put new rotors and pads on and checked every bolt from front to rear!! I finally found out it was 1 of the front hub assemblys so i replaced both of them and the vibration is gone now!! To determine if its a hub or not lock the hubs in but leave the truck in 2wd, if the vibration stops unlock 1 hub at a time and drive it to determine which hub it is. My truck was doing the vibration between 40 and 50mph

also.........ford had a problem with 05 and up trucks. They put out a TSB for "steering wheel oscillation" just a fancy word for D/W. We have found this to be prevelant in trucks from stockers with 40k on them to lifted trux. The TSB states to replace the factory stabilzer and add some caster. What we do is relace the factry stabilizer with a better single unit as well as add a dual opposing stabilizer to the axle for a total of 3 stabilizers.. Also have the truck aligned properly and if this is your issue it will be fixed.
