Need help identifying a plant

Anyone know what this is? Kid ate a piece of it and my wife is freaking out. It was growing under a bird feeder. Google isn't much help, hope someone recognizes this thing.

I would say it grew from the bird seed that fell on the ground, probably ok...

Forgot to update last night but my wifes 95 year old grandfather knew it was milo right off the top of his head. I thank all for the help.
