I did find it in Mitchell but no part number. It is for the ecm (and cruise if equipped.) It produces 8 pulses per revolution. It is available. I suspect the connector is the same on an xj or later yj.

In the mean time, you can screw the speedometer cable onto the unit that goes into the transfer case. It may not idle or run well though. If that is capped off with that red cap, you can likely just use a xj/yj later model sender...

thanks guys would really like to find a replacement the jeep started out a 91 yj with a 6 banger but has been converted to a 350 tpi chevy engine with a 400 turbo trans with a conversion to mount a np241 transfer case behind the 400 I think this is a after market swap between man to elec sensor there is no numbers on this unit well I should say the hook up because the gear and shaft unit are ok it just the nut that attaches the unit is broke it has been patched once before and I was hoping that someone had run in to this before and could point me in the right direction

Well. In that case, I'm not sure what you need. It might be a Chevy sensor setup off whatever year the case is... My 91 yj had an electronic speedometer.. is that what yours is? What year Chevy donor? Might be able to look up that way, since the jeep sensor has a connector instead of wiring coming out of it...

Notes:Hall effect style sender, 16 pulse per revolution with pass-thru drive for cruise control. Adapts most GM and Chrysler transmissions with speedometer cable output. This sending unit is designed for use with Auto Meter speedometers, and will not work with OEM speedometers under any circumstances.

From my reading, the speedometer should read double your actual speed unless it is coming from the ECU and not straight off the sensor

yes it is an electronic speedometer sensor and E-Kelly thanks sent pic's to summit racing and info maybe they will know but those units are 16 pulses per revolution and you showed some that are 8 pulses per revolution since my speed meter is factory what pulses per revolution would I need
