Every time I've drove my Jeep since gutting the cat out it has been hissing from the coolant tank each time I shut it off after driving. Well today I drove it for maybe 10 minutes and it was hissing while driving it and kept trying to cut off and I got it home and popped the hood and it was hissing loudly and smoking from the coolant tank. It didn't leak much coolant though. Was my Jeep overheating? I'm sure it was but I've drove this thing in 90+ degree weather and it did fine and it was rather cool outside today  Also, it's never done the coolant hissing thing until after I had gutted the cat. What could be the problem and what's the solution to fix it? Please help! Thanks! This is for a 1989 Jeep Cherokee with the Renix Model 4.0 I6.

clogged up radiator probably. If the coolant is brown it needs to be flushed real good, flush the vanes in the block too.

check the clutch fan and or Tstat
