Like the title says, I need help moving a truck. It needs to go from Conover to Boone sometime this coming week. If I could borrow/rent someones trailer thatd be great, or if someone with a rollback/trailer etc. can spend a couple hrs helping me out I'll make it worth your while. The truck being moved is a '76 Dodge w200 about 220" long.

Appreciate the help

Hey I was about to offer you my trailer but then I seen your in conover. I am in Fayetteville and if all else falls though let me know. Maybe we can work something out but if you cannot find anyone else to help you out. Although paying my gas it may be cheaper to use a wrecker LOL. Look into allstate motor club. They have a great price and covers up tp like $250 per tow. Got me from Uwharrie to the other side of Fayetteville a few times LOL.

I have a trailer in Newton. PM me if you interested. The brakes aren't working right now, but, depending on the tow rig, you should be okay.

appreciate the responses, since i'll be towing about 8k lbs+ with the ford, i'd say brakes would be a good investment. I'll keep y'all posted.

Are you meaning brakes on the trailer or a brake controller? What is a W200? Is that the same as a 250/2500? What is the weight of the dodge? About the same as a 3/4 ton chevy? I have the truck that will pull it and my trailer. I do not have my brake controller yet but hual my Blazer around without any trouble. The 2500HD stops rather well considering the lack of brake controller. Let me know, but as I said the gas would kill you for me to go all the way up there. I have Allstate motor club and they dont care what the reason is for the tow. I think it costs me like $10-$12 am noth and covers up to like $250 a tow. Even with the prices today that is a pretty good distance. Has gotten me from Uwharrie to fayetteville a few times with not a penny out-of-pocket. Just a thought.

Oh yeah and the best thing is that the coverage is on you not your vehicle. I have used it a few times to get friends vehicles towed.

Sorry, I was talking about uglyjeepoffroads brakes. The trucks the dodge m880/w200. Its my understanding its a 1 1/4 ton pickup weighing about 7800lbs.

I was thinking of calling AAA but its my understanding the vehicle has to have a license plate.

gmcjimmy: pm me about how much youd need in gas $ compensation etc... hell it might be cheaper than calling a wrecker if all else fails

Appreciate the help

Bump on up, still need help moving it. I'm pretty sure I have a trailer I can use, but the f150 just isnt enough to tow with.

If anyone can spare a few hrs to help me out this weekend thatd be awesome.

i have an f350 psd and a 5ton deck over trailer.
will the truck drive on the trailer under its own power?
boone is about 2 hours from me.
