Getting this on trade and trying to figure a way to go with it.....
Part of me says dually with a cummins(already have a 24v) in the dirt with bags....
Then again thinking ls on 33" trail grapplers would also be badass....

Personally, I think COE's should be tall, so I'd vote for high on 33's or taller...

Personally I think the whole "draggin' teh ground" thing on trucks is just stupid.
A big truck like this deserves nothin' but big tires, will fill out those wheel wells really nice.

I know where a complete COE Ford, Tanker truck is. The old Home heating oil type. It's somewhere between 46 & 54. Never Really looked that close.
Also a couple of later Regular models, like 58 or so, F500.

Put it on some rockwells but narrow them so that the tires sit flush with the fenders. Throw some 37-40" MT type tires on it and drive the piss out of it. Keep is clean and functional, and make it look like it would pass for stock.

I say cummins with big wheels and put a box/enclosure on the back to create an RV for the fam. or flatbed big enough to haul the jeep and pull your toyhauler. I do like lowered trucks along with lifted ones, but either should be 4wd to me.

Somewhere in the middle...
  • Modern "HO" drivetrain, suspension, and brakes... maybe even conveniences like A/C, PS, CC, PW, & PDL?
  • OE ride height with sensible sized rubber on something classic looking... steelies?

lol, what did you have to give up to get mike to let go of that?

def go big and go 4x4 (if not 6x6)

That way if you do get that trail repair business started you've got the rig.

im surprised at the in the dirt with bags especially how many are saying that... lol that being said im with in the dirt with bags 24s and cummins... haha ive got a 85 ccdually frame and 24'' wheels from a previous build I stopped on ended up buying a 45 chevy 1/4t instead of finishing. hopefully one day ill find me a COE to put on the frame
