I got a set of lights for Christmas, trying to think of inexpensive ideas on how to mount them to the front of my 2005 Ram 2500.
If anybody has mounted a set and can post pics, that would be great.

Mount them behind the grille. There is a horizontal cross member right there in the perfect spot to mount them with just two holes to drill. It will position them in the lower grille area.

I've seen that on 1500's, but on my 2500, the intercooler takes up so much room, I don't think they will fit. I will try it though.

Hmm, you're right, I didn't think about the intercooler, although I have seen lights behind the grille of 2500s as well, I'm pretty sure there is enough room as long as you use thin lights such as Hella 500s, although you may have to make some brackets to come forward with the lights just a bit.

Duct tape. Need there b any other cheap way?

If done right it actually doesnt look bad on the bumper....dont know about a 2500 but i can show you a pic of how it looks on an obs f250

After looking at it again today, I'm thinking I can mount the lights on the outside of the grill by sandwiching the grill between the light tab and a large washer since I have the honeycomb style grill. Once I try it, I'll post up some pics.

If you feel like coming down to south charlotte I could bend you a piece of tube and put some trick tabs on it for the price of materials. It's ridiculous what they charge for those simple light bars...

i have two 9inch lights behind the grill on my 05. just drill the holes in the crossmember in front of radiator. PLENTY of room behind the grill

I've been thinkin of doin the same, but I got coal for christmas ...
Post some pics , I'd like to see some Dodge 2500s w/ aftermarket lights.

I changed my driving lights in bumper from 9006 to 9005 bulbs and it added so much more light I couldn't see the need for more. May be something you want to look at. I bought a wiring adapter from genos garage for a few bucks and then you just dremel a little on the big tab on the bulb so it'll fit. Well worth the few dollars I have in it.

I might just take you up on that offer. Do you already have the materials, or do I need to get them?
