need info about how to put a windshield in a xj

got a 95 cherokee with a smasked windshield and i have a buddy that has some xj's for parts. never pulled a windshield out or put one in. so if anyone can give me some help it would be greatly appricated thanks!

Taking out the good one is the hardest part. Get guitar strings or piano wire and carefully poke it though one corner. One person on the inside and one on the outside saw it back and forth to cut it out. Try to do it on a warm day or inside a warm garage. You will need vice grips to hold the wire and several pieces of wire as it will break.

I tried to pull a few XJ windshileds from pullpart, broke them all. After that, I decided it wasnt worth my time, called the glass guy, he dropped a new one in a few minutes for $180 or so

yep did the same thing, i popped like 3 windsheilds ate pullapart before i got one out whole.

i pulled 3 out at pullapart for mine and havent broke one yet but it is a super pain in the ass

Yeah I have only done one and it didn't break. It did seem like it took forever though.
