I like to mud part time but just buried my jeep the other day. Any suggestions on lockers???

Procomp mud terrains I assume? I assume you have a dana 35 rear in that thing? If so weld the spiders and get a lock-rite for the front D30. That will help. What's your lift height?

i have a 6" suspension lift.
i have have the xterrains 35x12.50rx15s
yup..stock axles..been looking at aftermarket axles but they are so expensive.
wont welding the spider gears make it locked all the time? How does that affect DD?
i have a vid of me getting stuck maybe i was just driving wrong?

Yes welding the spiders will lock it all the time. it will wear your tires faster as well as chirp them when turning. I don't think I'd do that to a DD. Get a lock right or Aussie for the rear. I'd leave the front open unless you plan on replacing stuff every time you go out. That front is pretty weak and with mudding/locked it'll break pretty often with your size tire.

does it matter what gears are in the diff when buying lockers
i ask b/c i have the stock gears but i am not sure what those are. i have looked and it looks like the are 3.73s but again not sure.

Doesn't matter the gear ratio, just so long as they are the same front and rear. Though, now is the time to re gear if you plan on going to larger tires in the future. Just gotta have the $$$.

well i have 35s on it now i still plan on driving it around on the road quite a bit so i was thinkin about 4.56s any suggestions for decideing?

i know money is always the limiting factor

Just get you a LockRight for the front. Don't mess with the D35, you will brake it. Wait til you can upgrade the rear before you lock it.

save up some cash get a 8.8 rear and put a lock right, aussie, or spartan gear the axles to 4.56 and you will be happy. For a little while anyway.

Yeah, break it. Weld the gears and break it sooner. Jeep owners motto is "Equipment Failure is An Excuse For Upgrade."
I wish I had known how weak the D35 was before I spent $1K putting a Detroit true track and 4.10 gears in it. Blew all to hell on road. I would have been better off just going right to a Ford 8.8" or as one other dude here suggested, a Ford 9". The 8.8" is popular because it is just 5/8" narrower than a D35 and has the same bolt pattern.

My D35 broke with just 33's. With 31's and the stock 3.07 gears I could only get into 5th going down hill on the highway.
