need some computer help

alright so i have a ton of songs on my computer and i want to transfer them to my playstation but they must be mp3 files and they are alll wma. i know about all these converters and what not you can download but is there anyway to accomplish this feat without having to download a converter?
 
if you have an ipod you can convert them with one of the settings but it is a long process. The easiest and fastest way is to get one of the freeware converters try WinFF from what I have read that is supposed to be a good one.
 
Why not stream them to the PS3 via a media server like TVersity or Windows Media? I play all of my music on my PS3 this way.

x2. That's what I do. I can't see any advantage to actually storing them on the PS3
 
no clue how to do what you guys are talking about.. any help is greatly appreciated :)
