I really need some help from the Toyota Elders out there. I wanna know if theres anyway possiable that a 86 Supra motor will fit in a 81 4wd pickup? any help or info would be great! Thanks guys.

I am not a toyota expert, but it can be done. Its just not a plug and play swap. I have a friend in Ca. that has a supra motor in his 92 toy truck.

Talk to RedneckRocker on here... he put a 5MGE in a toyota pickup... and there are a few guys on Pirate that have put 7MGE/TE in trucks and runners...

wiring is a slight issue, but not too hard a swap...

Yes, it can be done, and has been done. IMO if you are looking for a motor to swap, 7mge is more bang for the buck, but if the 5m is what you have, then by all means, use it - either way, way more power than the 22re.
I know the motor mounts won't fit, and it seems like native 5m exhaust runs on the opposite side from 22r so you'll have to fab that too.
It's more ocmmonly done in the 2nd/3rd gen bodies, but the engine bays are pretty close to teh same size so it should work just the same.
The most fun part will be the wiring.
