Need some new employees- Asheville area

Congrats. Hope it works out. We started a new Fuel sure charge program with Bridgestone on the 1st. Supposed to be more accurate and use local in lane prices. So far they are off by about .30 - .40 per gallon and saving Bridgestone some on fuel sure chargers. Too bad really because we are discussing raising our rate to compensate. I'm sure all the other shippers are doing the same....

Trucking is all screwed up right now. I have a load of soybean oil sitting in decatur alabama right now that they can't find a truck to deliver.

The last "real" job I worked you had to know how to read a tape measure down to a 1/16 AND know how to do fractions.Super high turn over rate.I stuck it out for two years.

I never would have understood that until after having to hire people to sell windows at Home Depot. We had one girl who was a college grad who my boss hired for me. She was as worthless as a poopy flavored lollypop. We only had to measure to the 1/4" for replacement windows, and she still couldn't get it right. I even pulled out every tape measure Home Depot sold and finally found one with ONLY 1/4" markings, and she still would get MAYBE 1 in 50 right.

I had to fire her because she missed too many of her appointments, and my boss made me justify firing her. I think they had a side thing going, honestly. So glad to never have to work there again. I've never worked a job where I was poorer after working than had I stayed home.

Been waving money at every food grade liquid bulk carrier I can get ahold of for almost a week now. Everyone is booked solid.
That is specialized equipment for sure. No wonder you can't et it moved....

@Andy J. ...

@Jody Treadway if I wasn’t indentured to the crown (and I lived on the other side of the state) I’d come drive truck for you. My only down falls are I’m up early, show up early and like to have the truck I’m driving clean/topped off for the next days work. Come to think of it I probably wouldn’t work out....

...and he worked one day, came in and told me he took another job he had previously applied for.
5 minute notices are rad!
Damn it, I was off by ONE day!

I would like to tell you that @UTfball68 and I feel sorry for you, but we all know that misery loves company :lol:

I plead the 5th. :laughing:

But I will say that I did expect Jody's guy to last longer than 5 minutes. That sucks.
He did last a day and 5 minutes.

2 more interviews today. Fingers crossed
Got a coworker that may be looking for a job by the end of the week. He ain’t worth a damn, always late to work and the first to leave, always takes over an hour for lunch, and always thinks he deserves a raise. Sent him your contact info. Glad I could help! šŸ˜Ž

Lost count of the times that is happened here. I feel your pain. We are trying to hire 6 folks, will have to go through at least 10 or 12 to get those. That is if we can get them in here to start with.
