Not for me... I already have a Miller. A close friend of mine is looking at, and considering, a Harbor Freight MIG welder. I'm sure some of y'all have at least looked them over, and possibly some of you may own one. I am told they will go on sale next week. Post your thoughts and opinions. THANX!!!:beer::beer:

I bought my dad one of the older blue ones several years ago. Never hooked gas to it, only Flux core. Bought good name brand wire and didn't have any of the issues I found online prior to buying. My only 2 draw backs are lack of adjustability, and short gun lead. But again, its the older one, not much help for the newer stuff. I would think that they'd be an improvement from that though.

I've got the Vulcan OmniPro 220. It's supposedly a multiprocess unit...well, it is. I just haven't messed with the stick or tig yet. From the mig perspective I love it. Lays down great beads and I haven't had a single issue. Welded up my front driveshaft and took it on a few beat downs and never had an issue. In hindsight I probably should have just gotten a straight mig unit. From what I've read, the straight Vulcan mig units are just as good.

I have the Vulcan pro-tig 205, been really impressed so far. I haven't pushed it super hard but so far both DC and AC tig have been great. It definitely gets light use, but it has me looking at their plasma cutter now because of the sale going on.

Appreciate the replies!!!:beer::beer: Another close friend of mine has a Miller 130xp (120v) that he is no longer using. I told the fellow who is looking and he believes for what he intends to use it for he will be happy with it. Another problem solved! Thanks again! :)

Another vote for the OmniPro. I bought one at a parking lot sale for $100 that looked like it'd been drug behind a truck - it's been a fantastic MIG unit for the 2+ years I've had it. I bought the TIG setup for it but haven't taken the time to teach myself how to use it. I also bought one of their Titanium welders (parking lot sale) for my dad and its been a fine unit the few times I've used it.
