Need some prayers

I know it is probably nothing, but I need some prayers that it IS nothing.

My little boy, my youngest who is almost 15 months, got a cold that we've all been kicking around. His fever jumped up and we thought he had it kicked but yesterday he had some small febrile siezures. They were really weird and atypical, spent last night in the emergency room and then slept with one eye open watching him all night. This morning he kept having these short jerky siezures, a bunch of them, and we took him to the neurologist who sent him for an EEG. We haven't heard back yet, but they seemed to think they were just atypical febrile siezures which are harmless, so we are praying that is all it is.

Really scared, he's just a little guy. :(

Prayers sent... from your description, our son went through pretty much the same scenario when he was little. They called 'em fever seizures then. He's 37 now and doing just fine. Hang in there.

My son had them only one time. While I was holding him in my arms waiting in the doctors office for the doctor to come in the exam room and it was the scariest thing I have ever experienced. Our prayers go out to you and if it's like my son and so many others, he will be just fine.

Well, the eeg came back negative for infant spasms, which is great. There was one little spell he had that they said they weren't quite sure about, so we need to keep an eye on him in case they become more frequent or more intense. If that happens we need to take him for a more extensive ultrasound.

He's sleeping now, here's hoping that tomorrow it is all done and he doesn't have any more.

My neighbors kid did this same thing. They called EMS. EMS hung around and watched him for a while...fever broke and he had a few more smaller seizures then all clear. They never transported him.

Fever seizures is what they said. He is A ok now.

Good luck and I hope your little one has the same outcome.
