After looking i think its a standard deutsch dt 2 pin connector.
Can anyone confirm, and if so is there anywhere local i can pick up?

That's either a Deutsch DT or DTM, depending on the size (hard to tell in the picture). Sometimes the black connector shell is a special mating key, but sometimes it's just a black version of the standard connector mating key that is usually a gray shell.

There are part numbers on that connector. You can buy the mating connector and crimp pins on Amazon if it's a standard keying, or through Ladd Industries if it's a special keying.

Local: Probably not.

Why not splice in a connector of your own choosing and put the original up for whatever?
It's my brother in laws machine. The front lights have been out for a while and I have some led lights laying around with no use. Since I have had it around the house for a while i wanted to do something nice for him but didn't want to cut the factory wiring.

Look at the other side of the connector (the side facing your palm in the picture), and see if there are any raised ribs along the axis of the connector. Those would be the mating keys if there are any. The part number will also tell you, so it will probably say DT06-2Sx on the connector, with a capital letter in place of the "x" if there is a key (like -2SB for a "B" key, etc), and the "x" will be missing if it is a standard shell without a special key.

If there aren't any keys, you just need a generic gray DT04-2P for the mating connector, or DT04-2P-E004 if you want black. Get a kit with the connector shell, crimp pins, green double lock plate, etc.
