Looks like I'm not the only one in need of a car-toting device...

Found a Cummins I want up north...gonna tow the dolly behind my VW TDI and tow the VW back on the dolly with the Cummins...I'd rather pay someone on the board than U-haul.

My 16' steel dual axle might be a little much for the VDub...

Let me know if you're willing to rent...I'm in Boone, NC but don't mind driving a little to come get it. Thanks guys,

Fwiw, towing an unloaded dolly brings the suck...I can only imagine how bad it would be with a vw. Go to uhaul.com and see what they'll charge for a one way trip with the dolley...probably not much more than $50.

u-haul wants 138.00 for a one way...

...I've done my fair share of tow dolly-ing...it does suck...but managable...

Damn, very well then. Not that it helps you much, but I once rented one for a day at a place in hky for $20. Might ask around at the small places in boone. Either way, good job on the ctd. Lucky.
