My BIL has an FJC w/ a CV axle that has grenaded. It was just replaced a few months ago by a shop in Charlotte, on Statesville Rd. He needs to get it down there ASAP. Sounds like it's best not to drive that far.
Any chance somebody could give him a tow? I'm sure he'll pay cash.
Lives in Greensboro but could probably meet someplace.

Any luck?

Thanks guys. He's really trying to get it down there today - yes a long shot - since this is his only car.
Sounds like at the moment he drove it over to some place near his house to get an opinion on the damage and the degree to which it is drivable.
Unfortunately this is one of those cases where the shop that did the previous work would be the best place to take it and make it right, but due to logistics may not be feasible to get there.
