Ok so i found a 2000 GC-Limited. 158xxx miles, fully loaded, leather, 4.7L, towing package. the whole nine. Int. is basically perfect. and so is the outside. new tires on it also. was told it was a Highway/DD Jeep.
I can get it for $ 57oo. I also checked KBB and thats the price they said it was worth. ( he was gonna ask more )
Whats your opinions?

I might have missed something, but when I checked kbb it said it was $4700 in excellent condition... I'd have it checked out by a shop I trust then go from there, the price seems high to me

LOOKS good! Lot's of miles but if it's been taken care of (oil, trans fluid changes) and serviced it may well give you many more miles of service. Any obvious leaks or have you seen it in person?

Condition Value

Excellent
$5,800

Good
$5,325

Fair
$4,725

thats what i just came up with

i didnt see no leaks. just a little wetness from front main and tranny. but it wasnt wet to a touch.. dosnt smoke, burn oil. and yea i saw it and drove it

I would offer him 5K if you actually want it. May take a few days, but I bet you will end up with it.

value is in the eye of the beholder. One thing I have learned the hard way is not jump on he first thing you see. If you have time to shop...do so. If this is what you realy want..haggle a little. Good luck to ya.

It is a good looking jeep.

I would not want that much in a truck with those miles, and 8 yrs old. Jeep GC seem to be for sale all over the place, I would keep searching. Patience will definitely pay off.

I think you are looking at retial price not private party?

Absolutely keep searching. I love that motor, but the price is high. There are WJ's for sale all over the place. Regarding KBB price, there are hardly any private vehicles that meet KBB's "Excellent" rating. Definitely not one w/ over 100k on the clock. Private sellers never understand this.

All that said, it's worth whatever YOU want to pay for it. Good luck!

i loved the one i had, but just make sure the jeep has been serviced. Up until 02 they had a good bit of problem when they got into upper miles

You are referring to the 4.7s right? My 93 4.0 has 170k and is still going strong.

1. I wouldnt want a 4.7 with that many miles..

2. It has a red lettered plate. which means its been tagged recently.. gotta wonder if he bought it and realized it was f'ed up and is trying to sale his problem....
