Got it used, but it looks like it's never really been used. They can be bought new at Northern Tool for about $350. Just search for press brake. They have a 29" version for a 40ton press, but the construction is the same, its just wider. If I really need anything wide done, it will probably be 3/16" or 1/4", so it still wouldn't be capable. I deal with a metal fab shop down the road pretty regularly, and they can bend anything for a reasonable price. But I want to be able to fiddle with brackets and such in the wee hours of the morning.
Thanks. I sanded down the edges smooth and covered it in grease for that reason.
I'm considering getting it heat treated while its still fresh, so it will hold up longer, but I have no idea how much that costs. I may wait and see how much use it gets and how much wear it shows after a few weeks.
