New article on the Front Page - U-Joint Offroad 4×4 Vans

We'll have another one as a rolling chassis by Monday. 02 E350, getting the works. Onboard air, water, 6" UJOR lift, ARB's, 60's, etc. Gonna be nasty.

We'll post some pics in a couple of days.
 
Thats seriously awesome. Would definately rock that out, go wheeling, then just jump outta the seat and into the bed in the back.
 
Maybe you should buy a Ford van..j/k

We came out with these out of need and have improved on them ever since. If the market were there, who knows, we *could* offer one.
 
Probably wouldn't do it anyway. It was a van my grandfather bought brand new, so I'm not going to do much to it.

However, I would totally rock a diesel Ford van 4x4 conversion if I was in the market for a new ride.

We made some serious progress this weekend. Suspension is done (6"), axles are under it
geared and locked. Tranny and transfer case will bee back from the shop Wednesday.
We got the onboard air and water started, installed crossmembers and mocked up the dual swing out carriers on the rear. One for a tire and the other for a generator.
This van's going to South America as an expedition vehicle for a while.

So where is the build thread? I've been thinking about dumping the willys & building a Expedition vehicle.
 
I took a look at that makes me want one. I have searched for a while. Just not many good van's to start with for sale. I'd be interested in a 7 passenger. 1st and 2nd row captain's chairs. Small lift with 285's that would be slick

yup. i was thinking an astro with a 4.3 would be fairly nimble on the trail. well, as nimble as a van is going to get.

The build thread will be up tonight hopefully. We took quite a few pics over the weekend, step by step.

You most likely saw the owner Chris' van at Marco's pizza. This one we're doing now came from Florida about a week ago.
