New battery recommendations

So long as they're not corroded, I'd leave them alone.
Thanks I'll probably just change the terminal then.

If you decide to make your own I've got a crimper you can borrow, my mother in law lives in Portofino so I drive through Archer Lodge a lot. I made mine with 2ga. FWIW
Well let me know, bring the girls and their Jeep and all the kids can drive around/play. If I get the terminals I'd need to crimp on some copper lugs.

Should have asked him if you could have the blue top. It is very possible he didnt have a charger that could bring it back
Wasn't thinking a bout that or even the warranty! Just trying to get a tailpipe. I may drop back by & snoop around. see what the Story is!

I just looked up Opt,s warranty; free replacement for 24 mo. I'd sure be pissed spending between $250 - $300, & it be Junk in 3 years!

I bought an autozone gold what ever that is. It died in less than a year but I was able to walk in and trade it out. Now it's been year and it is doing great. Even when i didnt crank the jeep for 2 weeks.

When I worked parts in college, we had people bring Optimas back all the time and they would test out as dead. We would replace them in warranty. I would typically give the store the core charge, take it home and charge it back to good. Of course, that was when Optimas were worth a crap. Not sure if you could re-charge a low one now.

Recon you can get a bad anything, at anytime! I hate Walmart batteries, since having 2 bad ones in a row. But others on here, swear Walmart is Great! I used to shop Autozone, & never had a bad battery. Duralast, & pretty sure Gold is their top battery. Then I switched to Advance, & still haven't had a bad one. Even my John Deere with a 325 cca battery, is way past warranty, & it's the "Economy" battery! Just hope my Battery Luck, Holds!

My Odyssey Extreme is starting to fail and only putting out about 350cca. It is a 2010 battery and looking to replace it with a parts store equivalent but not finding any around Asheville above 750cca. Not sure if it’s worth $90-100 more for the extra cca that the Odyssey has over a 750cca parts store battery that is on the shelf in most chain parts stores around the country.

CCA doesn't matter. So long as there's enough to turn over the starter motor, that's plenty. Reserve capacity is what lets you leave the lights/radio/cooler/etc running and start the truck later.

Roll on down the hill to rural king in Morganton. Last ones I got for my truck from there were exide golds for about $75.

I replaced a 38 month-old Interstate last night with an Autozone AGM battery.

Autozone/Advance want $170 for a flooded-cell battery with a 3yr warranty. They're $100 at Wal-Mart with the same warranty. I've had good luck out of the Wal-Mart batteries as well, but prefer AGM for anything that gets shaken around (due to plate shedding).

Interstate battery from Costco - bought a new one for my LJ yesterday, group 34, 1000 amps, $88

That's exactly what I just replaced. It outlasted the warranty by 2 mos.

I normally have better luck than that on Interstate - the one I just put in my LJ replaced a six year old interstate.
I'd put them in the same category with WalMart batteries. They're fine, but try to get a free replacement at 35 mos.

JCI Makes "most" interstate batteries.
Well Clairos now...still JCI.

So just buy an Advance, Autozone, or Champion, Costco, or or or or

They are all the same.
I think Wal Mart is back to Exide now.
