. what do you think (and this time I promise not to get a guy that takes me away from wheeling)

Then I think you better decline DRkelly's request for breakfast, unless you want to join the "I have a pretty badass cab truck on 42's bad I'm to freaking sorry to finish it before we all retire" club.:shaking:

I am thinking of playing it safe with the SO mod, allot less money, but better quality. what do you think

Personally I'm a big fan of my SO mod. Like any modification, the installation of SO takes some time, work and continued maintenance, but in the end it's well worth it. It helps if you pick the right SO, but reality is you'll still have to modify the lifestyle mod to make the whole thing work. Fortunately my SO and I enjoy a lot of the same things (including the Jeep), so the rest ends up being trivial sh#t.

As I approach the oldfart mod, it's nice to know SO will be helping me with that process. Together we've been able to fabricate lawnmower 1.0 and dishwasher 1.0. Both also double as beerfetchers, shophelpers and choreworkers, among other things. They only cost me a low monthly allowance payment at this point, but they're some of the coolest toys you'll ever make.

Eventually SO and I are hoping lawnmower 1.0 and dishwasher 1.0 will eventually mature into oldfartdiaperchanger and oldfartfeeder at some point. That's when those wheeling trips and trips to Disney will really pay off. :D

I did have a training SO for about 5 years that didn't work out as well, but I have to admit I screwed that one up. I'm only 15 years (officially this summer) with my current SO and I'm very happy with the mod. We work at it (whatever the it for the day is) every day and things are good.

I must clean out from under the jeep (really really realllllly dirty) I need a pressure washer to clean the jeep good,
Where'd you go to get it DIRTY? The thing looked pretty much spotless at the Swap Meet.

And, next time you go there, can I come along? :driver:

I have nothing witty to say in response to that. I do however feel I qualify for this new club. As of a few weeks ago we were suppose to stop working OT during the week and Saturday's, only problem is the work load doesn't know that and it keeps increasing. Early on Friday morning almost two weeks ago my boss came by and pulled a Bill Lumbergh on me. Yeh, I am going to need you to come in tomorrow Danny. I didn't have plans other than to work on my truck, and am a horrible liar so of course I said I would be there. 6am Saturday morning I am eating breakfast getting ready for work and a tornado or something came across my property knocking down 10 trees. So needless to say I did not touch the truck all weekend.

Oh yeh, I also haven't been wheeling since URE closed for the season in Dec of 2004.

I'm looking for info on my isitsafetowheelwithoutthesnapringonthehalfshaft mod. Basicly when my auto hubs failed they sheered the end splines off the half shaft and the Snap ring used to replace them with manual hubs has nothing to keep it in place so I didn't install it. The vehicle does fine during my DD but I wonder if on the trail and I reach full extension if that half shaft will pop out or not. EDIT: This is the only thing keeping me from wheeling the local trails I have permission to be on.

A buddy of mine use to run his D44 without the clips on the ends of the stub shafts. I think the biggest problem would be the rubber seal on the shaft that presses up on the back side of the spindle not being held up tighly. Mud and water could easily get in.

Breakfast maybe, but no extra points for a bigger rig.
Eh it's a trail rig and a DD so I can't mod it like I want. Acctualy I would probably end up buying a jeep for a trail rig before I mod the Isuzu anymore than 3" lift and 32's or 33's.

being single I dont have to listian to an SO, which means I save up for three weeks just to go out wheeling, and broke again for 2 months. of corse I am still looking for a poteintial SO, requirements are as follow:
he must have a tow truck and trailer that I can fit my jeep on as well as his if he goes, bonus points for a bigger toy. ..my standerds are not TOO high :D

I can meet those requirments send me a pic so I know what I am getting into:D

Forgot about the club, had some shirts made up.

The I have built a 4X4 & some times
go wheeling, but most times I have to work
& if the wife doesn't have any honeydo's
& the kids don't have any I wants
& the house isn't on fire or falling down
& it's not a holiday, birthday, or anniversary
& I have enough cash for gas & the wife is happy with me
& my mom says it's OK & (insert your own troubles here)
& the kids and dogs are not loose or fighting
& the daily drivers/tow rig are at least running
& the trail rig isn't broken or in need of major repair
& it's not too hot/cold/dark/sunny/rainy/snowy/windy/dry,
I might make it to the trail later, but probably not club

I dont have the money to get my kids rides ready OR their SO's so I guess the wife is gonna nix the idea of me "helping" out anopther womans huh. Not to mention I drive a zuki so I don't have a bigger than then most anybody here,:shaking: :shaking:
