so i need your opinions. i am looking for a new dd. i would really like a larger truck that can haul anything i need to. i was looking at a z-71 1500 with a few mods maybe a 96-2003. i would really like a way to haul my k5 on a trailor but i dont see a 1500 doing that. i cant find too many 2500's and i would preferably have a reg cab long bed but i dont see them too much. but i dont know i was just looking for peoples opinions on what would be a good dd. byw i can spend maybe 10k-15k max. thank you.

For 10-15k I would look for a 2000 or 2001 Chevy 2500 as they still had a 5.7 liter. Anything newer will have the thirsty 6.0 or even worse 8.1 liter. Another option in your price range is a HD 1500.

Yea I know by first hand experience that trying to tow with a 1500 is not a very optimal setup. Don't know if you're sure on Chevy's but you can get a Dodge 2500 with the cummins around the 97ish year range for your price range. And that cummins will def get better gas milage than a gasoline engine.
