I had my Eagle ceremony this morning, it feels great to know that over 10 years of work has paid off!

That cake was pretty close to perfection and I even made a few bucks to go towards my xj lift... all-in-all, an eventful day!

were any of you guys in the scouting program?

Congrats!

Congratulations! Definitely worth the time and effort you put in.

I'm thankful my parents got me into scouts when I was younger... and convinced me to stay in long enough to get my eagle.

Fellow Eagle Scout Here...Congratulations for sticking with it !!

Congrats man! It also looks like you put in a lot of effort for all of those merit badges too. I just had my board of review in May and am a fellow Eagle Scout. I still need to have a ceremony though so my relatives will be happy.

Eagle Scout myself also, congratulations.

Put in on your resume's through life, it always starts a good conversation.

Welcome to the brotherhood! I got mine in 2006 and it is always an excellent conversation starter when you are interviewing. Its even gotten me a few jobs. I graduate college in December so we will see if it is something that will help me in finding a career!

Congrats!

Congrats. I got mine in 1999. The most useful part of it is the knowledge you have gained on the way. The rank just proves it.

Congratulations! I'm an Eagle Scout as well, got mine in 2000.

Thanks for the congratulations everyone, it means alot.

brief rundown on my project: every year my high school puts on an art show for the seniors to display their art that they've made throughout their stay at the school and has to rent three panel folding screens every year that were pretty rickety and crappy... so I decided to provide the school with 7 of their very own screens with a much better surface for hanging things (cork board underneath a special velcroish material) that they can use for the art show, or anything else that they might need to display. They really appreciated it and were excited to hear that I chose to help them over other potential projects I had lined up.... I'm sure they'll continued to be used for quite a while....

Congratulations!! I came up a few short (80-83?), but I still feel that I carry alot of what was taught to me.

Congrats , me too.

Ditto here.
Congrats. I know from experience it's a pile of work.

Got mine 2 weeks before my 18th b-day. Down to the wire as always...

I never did get to do the scout thing but was always interested in it as I was growing up. Congradulations!

Very good, I got mine in 98.

Its a great feeling knowing all that hard work has paid off.
I can't wait to get back in it when I have a son.
