Looks like they've drastically changed the tread design and added kevlar to the sidewalls. Personally, I love the way the old tread design looks and performs and would buy another set. I'm not so sure I like the look of the new design. Kevlar sidewalls are an interesting idea. Does that mean they're bulletproof? ;) Here's the link. Discuss...

Looks alot like a claw... That said, I like my "old school" MTRs I just bought.

OMG! I hope you can still get the old ones. I was planning on buying some brand new ones from 4wp and getting the warranty.
If this is coming out I may change my mind now. I wouldnt want that garbage for a replacement.

those look like ass

I dislike that as much as BFGs new mud terrain

They keep screwing up the tire.. tbe best version of these was the first, the goodyear wrangler MT... then they changed it to the MTR which honestly i hated, now this piece of shit... too bad goodyears out of the offroad tire biz now

i don't like the new tread as well as the old. looks like they would have more of a hard time cleaning out.

I don't see how they could could be any worse than the current version. I ran some 35's for a little. Sure they rode nice, but they didn't clean out for shit no matter how fast you spun them. I did however become much more familiar with my rev-limiter though.

The new design does look like they have to be directional which kind of sucks....

Can you name me a radial mud terrain that actually does? I've run 5 different mud terrains from 5 different manufacturers and they all clogged up in the thick stuff the exact same way. The mtr's were the only ones that stood out as they grabbed everything I put them on in all other other conditions.

Looks like they are both directional (front/back) AND asymetrical (have inside/outside), w/ that oddball tread in the inner side?
If so, keeping them evenly worn will require constantly keeping your alignment perfect etc... can only rotate front-back and never side/side... can't even re-mount them to flip sides... also guess that means it's always white-letters out?

Kevlar - guess that means if you want to cook steaks on the sidewalls they won't stick....?

No way will that ever hit..then it requires 2 separate part numbers to keep track off and if you replace a single tire etc...I see a major push back from tire shops if so....then again maybe somebody already does this and I am behind

Are you thinking teflon?

thats the dumbest tire design i've ever seen

Wow.. Goodyear should hire all the genius's on this board who know more about tread design then they do..

They should hire people from this site because these are the people who buy them, use them, and know what they want in a mud tire. And if they don't hire them then they should at the very least listen to them. Well listen to every body except the guy who said he doesn't like the new BFG. I assume he was talking about the km2, which I like a lot. But any way, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Ok, back on thread. I think it is ugly and doesn't look like it would go very well in the mud. Probably good on slick rock though. Shout out to all the North Cove and Marion Boys.
