Hey guys, my name is Connor. I live in Indial trail Nc. I got a 1 ton 1978 Big Blue Chevy with a bunch of work done to it by me. I put 12 inch lift on it with a D60 swap up front and a 14 bolt rear with 4.88s. Just finished the motor. We went with a 350 SBC and put a lunati voodoo cam in with a nice set of aluminum heads. WE needed more power so i broke the bank and went with a twin turbo setup garrett t3/t4 hybrids ( a little small, but amazing spool up, 2200 RPM). I am running 12 PSI. We put 44 inch groundhawgs on it, with steel wheels. The truck is Very powerful, but too big for daily driver.

shit.
But the motor is pretty nasty, it is not quite done yet, we are doing a lot of testing with the motor. I just walked outside to find my tranny is leaking like HELL all of a sudden, so there is a nother problem to work on tomorrow.

But the turbos are kind of small, but for what I got them for its not bad. I like them because they spool up fast, and sound good. The only reason why I put them on is becuase my buddies talked me into it. We found this kit on ebay for like 800 bucks, and it installed nice. I read a lot of review on it before i got it, and a lot of people said it was junk, but so far it had held up good. I have only put like 100 miles on it. I think I might turnt he boost down, becuase it might blow my heads. Before we put the kit on, I dynod at 362whp and 435 ft. lb. I think I picked up a lot of power becuase it will now chirp 2nd. The turbo kit does have some flaws in it, and I can see some potential problems with the oil lines, and I probably need to upgrade the wastegate.

T3/T4 turbos aren't the biggest, but they're not the smallest. At least you didn't put donut turbos off some factory car on there.

Even the largest t3 hybrids are too small for any decent flowing 350ci engine though. But unless you've got the means to pump a lot of fuel at high pressure, then it's probably all that's needed. If those are real dyno numbers--and not desktop dyno or magazine article numbers--then that was already a very respectable sbc. I still want to see pictures. Go to photobucket.com, make an account, upload pics. Not hard at all.

they are real numbers, my motor came from a buddy who gets pull a part motors and builds them and sells them, and the price was right and he said it was around 450 horse at 10.5:1. Thats another reason why I am skeptical about boost cause that is kinda high compression for a v8. the reason why I havent posted a bunch of pics of my truck is it wont let me post in any section but this one..anyone now why?

No shit, I saw you driving by New York Pizza and Pasta the other day while having lunch. I've played with turbos quite a bit and I'd love to see the set up in person. I'm about a quarter mile away from NYPP, feel free to drop by! Oh and air filters might help those turbos live longer

ha ha, you saw the infamous BIG BLUE rolling around indian trail. We kinda started taking the tranny out, and gonna start gettin some of the top end taken off because i have a bad oil leak somewhere. My buddy might buy the turbo set up from me for his SBC.

Yeah I saw it and you've probably seen the infamous white Ford rolling around also. I'd like more details on the kit just for curiosity sake.

so thats you with the crew cab on baja claws? you pulle up behind me at a light one time, and yours was a bit bigger. but i was on 40s and 8 inch lift at the time.
I can tell you all about the turbo kit. if you want to meet up, give me directions to your shop, and i will stop by like tomorrow or sunday

Oh, I wasn't there, one of my employees was with the truck. Everything makes since now, what happened to the 800hp show truck that tried to pull you out?
From the Monroe Rd and Waxhaw Indian Trail Rd intersection head towards Weddington on WIT Rd. We are roughly a quarter mile on the left behind Southern Collision Body Shop. We are the shop on the right, second door. Ill be at the shop the majority of the day tomorrow.

wait, what are you talking about a 800hp show truck?
I NEVER get pulled out, there is nothing deep around here for me to get stuck. We found a swamp by my house thats like 5 acres, and a perfect place for a mudbog if you are interested.

i think you need to read the stickies at the top of this section. maybe you can get Carolina Truggies to sponsor you since he's local and it sounds like you'll probably meet in person.

I miss read your post above, there was a truck similar to yours that we had to pull out one night.

I don't have many customers or rigs that are mud worthy but Ill see what I can do.

Drop by the shop sometime, as stated id like to see the setup for a project truck at the shop.

damn that truck is makin 800hp? I wish i could do that with my motor, but it is just so SMALL. I need a 454, anyone want to swap for a 350 with 9k on it making 450ish flywheel HP n/a, and around 550 flywheel HP on 12 psi?
