I've heard about Croatan having some simple stuff. You should get up with the Ranger's station and see what's open. They may have some unimproved roads that may be fun for a while. Really depends on your interests.

Unless you got the cash to pay for the 1500.00 ticket they hand out. really wish they would take a look at the vehicles side of the fence.
