A buds got this oldie-goldie baler and it's needing some repair. Not sure what the part that spins to pickup the hay is called (has many spring tines), but the end *opposite* the PTO spins inside a round channeled "race" with 6-10 follower bearing. This race (18"ish diameter) has chunk out of the inner lip that catching the followers. I can weld it up or if he can find one locally, replace it all together.
The main issue we're having is it's not very intuitive how to take that end apart! The drive chain is off that side, but no clear way to remove this race... unless taking off the followers, but then there's the shafts running the center of this tined roller to contend with...
Anyone have experience with this chunk of Americana?
