new Jeep. XJ number 3

so i'm flying to Iowa saturday to pick up my new XJ. I sold my 99 XJ to fellow board member back last fall and have regretted it since. I recently sold my wrx and have been looking for another clean XJ to replace it with. Welllll, i have found it. It looks a heck of a lot like my old XJ. It's a year older(98), but its just as clean and actually has lower mileage. I'm very excited to pick it up and drive it home over the weekend.
It's a 98 red classic with a 5.5 RE lift and 33'' Mtr's. i'm not a big fan of the mickey Thompson wheels, so i'll probably be selling them and searching for a used set of MOAB's. If anyone on the board has a set, let me know!

I've actually owned 3 red XJ's. this was my first one. My grandpa bought it new in 91 and it was passed down to me after he died.

Awesome!!! Congrats on the find man!!!

I just did the plugs/rotor/cap on the jeep the other day. She's in good hands, no worries.
 
thanks man, that's good to hear! i saw you posted about the 02 sensor, did you ever get that figured out? i'm sorry the mileage has been down man. we need to get up sometime and go wheeling or something
 
That's why Im willing to fly to get one. I've missed out on so many jeeps locally. It's ridiculous how in demand XJ's are right now.

Not yet. Im just gonna replace the Upsteam and see if it works out.

Might just be the city driving. I dont get out much on the highways.

Ive still got the TJ for wheeling, so let me know whenever you wanna head out somewhere..
 
I also have a soft spot for red xj's (1990 xj pioneer) i miss mine every day i wish mine hadn't been stolen
