Well, Me and the J truck, didnt get along really well, so I traded it for this 1986 K5. heres what its got
305 punched out to a 307
holley 660cfm
sm465
np 241 (I think, I havent checked)
60,000 miles
33x12.5x15 TSLs.
2 inch blocks front and rear (will be gone ASAP)
I dont know what I am going to do with this truck yet, but I want it to be pretty big like my old blue chevy that ben has. I am thinking of 8 inchs and 40s. And built ass motor. 4 speed will stay.
The only question I had was about the 4 speed. Do any of you notice that when going around 45mph on the road, you are bouncing in and out of 3 & 4 quite a bit?
I am having a bit of a problem with the clutch hydraulics, and need some help, and I cnt find the exact problem solver yet.
Yesterday, we went to add clutch fluid, and we did, and I told my buddy how the pedal was really firm, and it was hard to hold at a stop light, and he insisted we bleed the system. Well, as soon as we started, the clutch has not worked since. Like it is acting exactly like it has air in the line, and when we hook the mighty vac up the the bleeder valve, it just continuously pulls air, like irrational amounts. I see no visible leaks, and the slave boot is dry. But we bled it so many different ways yesterday, and just cant seem to get all the pressure back. Like it will push the fork like a quarter inch, but it is nowhere near enough to disengage the clutch. Anyone know whats up?
