As some of you know my passion has turned in the last few years to saltwater fishing. I love surf fishing, shark fishing and kayak fishing. Well I wanted to get a new kayak so a couple of weeks ago I ordered a 2012 Hobie Outback. I got it down to Oak Island this weekend for it's first fishing trip for trout. Man that thing kicked butt! I ended up only fishing for 2 hours but had my limit in just over an hour. I love the mirage drive on that thing. I peddle and can keep my hands on the rods. Here's my limit of 4. Caught 8 but culled it down to the 4.
They ran from 17" to 22".:

VERY nice! I am actively looking for a fishing yak, I will probably start with something much cheaper / got my ReadyWelder I am hoping to swap if I get lucky.

It looks like the Outback is a good choice for high wind locations where you want to keep your hands free / keep from drifting!

Are you on NCKFA, and NC Angler as well I assume?
