new license plate

i got new tags today...why are my letters red? why are they changing from the blue? looks pretty cool though.

They say because the blue is fading too quick. I think they figured out a way to reduce printing costs.

Said on the news they're also thinking about adding front plates. (charge more $, make more $) Most 2-plate states have gone away from the fronts.

God I hope not.
That made me sooooo happy not having to tear up the front of my wife's TT with an ugly ass license plate. Had to do it to my old Maxima after I got a ticket in Va for not having a front plate.

i dont think it is possible to put a front plate on my jeep, hope they dont go to that

I heard it was much easier for the red light caneras to see also

Are the letters at least dark red? Some bonehead dosn't know their visual psychophysics. If it's light red it will be even harder to see at dusk than blue was. I've never udnerstoof why they aren't yellow on black or vice versa like in most otehr countries. Much easier to read at night. Of course that takes more paint to produce....

They are bright bright red......kinda sucks in my opinion. But to vouch for it, it does stand out much better at night.
