New ovens - anything special?

I'll give oven cleaner a shot. I've used all the best glasstop cleaners and had no luck. I was afraid to use oven cleaner on it.

Standard disclaimer applies: Try in an inconspicuous area... The ceramic enamel or whatever it is that is silkscreened on the glass are the only thing that may be bothered, but if they aren't bothered by cooktop cleaner then they should be fine with oven cleaner as well. Most of the oven cleaners that are rated for roaster pans, etc., aren't as powerful as the really fume-y toxic smelling ones, and are only sketchy on painted surfaces and bare aluminum. I know this, because I etched the aluminum trim on our old stove before..

This conversation reminds me of washer/dryer. I'm not one to try to keep up with the Jones'. I have a washer/dryer combo that are probably 20+ years old. Several times over the years I've had to do some repair work but it's always been cheap fixes. I have family that has replaced $4000 worth of washer/dryer over the past years due to them being too expensive to fix (and lack of knowledge). Plus, they have to have special detergent and cleaners for the washer etc and my clothes still smell Snuggle Fresh!

I have Samsung single oven, but it has a thick tray that goes between it so you can cook two temps if you want, or you can take it out to cook something really big. It is pretty nice.

DO NOT SELL THEM.

Energy restrictions have made it so that any washer and dryer sold in the last ten or fifteen years is at best "meh, all right".

All it takes to get clothes clean is soap, warm water, and agitation. All it takes to get them dry is hot air and agitation. How do you save energy in that scenario? Use less warm water and agitate less.

Damn al gore and his fake climate change/ global warming

I had a parts store tell me that exact thing. In the era mine were made all were about the same and there are plenty parts available. The last break was a thermal switch that had popped. When I went to get a new one the counter salesman smacked the old one in the counter and said ”i just saved you $40 and reset it for you"!

On a side note I did destroy a plastic washer tub when I left a nail in my pocket. When it went into spin cycle the nail slid through one of the holes and became a blade that cut the tub perfectly about a third of the way up the damn thing. That was when I bought the sweet whip the wife runs today!

When we got married in 2000 grandma gave us a hand me down GE dryer that was at least 22 years old. (There was a pic of me in a diaper shouting on that dryer) we used it for a few years. needed a heating element. then around 2010 it needed a belt and we'd just bought a new house. so I gave it to a cousin who was bad off (I put a belt on it first)...6 years later Im on my second dryer since and my cousin is STILL rocking that damn dryer.

Well after taking apart yoshio the fire shooting range to replace the board the ugly issue came to light .
Fail for me for just not checking before ordering parts.
Double fail on Frigidaire for not checking factory connections at the terminal block. There was slight play on one of the lines that resulted in arcing that melted the lug off the bus thus letting it arc on the back cover. That has cost me about 150 in parts for thier failure. Anyone need a good control board for a Frigidaire range? Btw repair is split bolt and rubber tape and electrical tape.

I was just about to follow up on this now that I'm back at work.
I'm going to send your info over.
Just for transparency, I don't work in consumer service so I can't tell you what the protocol will be.
But I will send this to the right person
