Since doing my rear disc swap on the 4runner, i lost my parking brake.....so,looking at all the $220 tcase brakes that WONT fit a v6 case, and nobody will make one, I decided to make my own.
Used a rotor from a 80s street bike (not sure what it was), a small Wilwood spot caliper, all the stock brckets modified to work.
Total cost:
caliper $65 ebay
Fabricated mouting bracket $20
Longer bolts $10
Linkage Parts (from John Deere) $30

Works pretty good too!! just needs a little adjusting on the cailper

It will slow the truck down, but its no emergency brake. tried it tonight on the road and you can tell its trying but its not great.... I built it more for a parking brake. it works good for that, but i may try another caliper down the road to get more clamping force. The one i got was the smallest one available because i was unsure of how much room i would have.

Update......Gonna stay with the wilwood. Found out the rotor is just a hair too thick and was rubbing the cailper body when applied. Took caliper to the grinder and did some some very light clearancing to the body, and took a little off the rear pad.

Now it will lock the back tires on asphalt if you'll pull it hard, and it seems to take less pull effort to hold on a hill.
