Picked up a new project yesterday after selling my old 4runner a few weeks ago i just had to have another one, its a 93 4runner, blown up v6 motor, still ifs, and 35" MT's.
Plans:
I want to try to make a DD weekend rig depending on axles and if i decide to sell my cummins dodge and if my current toyota sells
This is going to be a slow project until i sell a few vehicles to get some money
-4bt cummins to replace blown up motor or possibly a free 360
-th400 tranny and dual toyota cases
-3 link front probably 4 link rear (not sure yet)
-Not sure on axles probably 1 tons possibly 2 1/2 tons
-36-40" tires probably Iroks if 1 tons, 46's if 2 1/2 tons
-Cage the outside so my kid will have a junglejim to play on:lol:
Heres one pic, ill get some more up tomarrow my computer is being really slow tonight:

If anyone is interested in a '95 cummins let me know and i also have my pickup on 3/4 tons for sale in the for sale section. I need to sell some stuff so i can start this new project.

dag, i already miss it...she looks good clean doesnt she? give me a holler if you need any help with any bodywork or making some bumpers for it im about to make some for the zuk at a neighbors shop.

its got a 3" body lift and im not sure if it has a suspension lift or not, i think it has a small suspension lift. To tell the truth i havnt touched it since taking it off the trailer yesterday. I think i may start building the hangers this weekend to put an old toyota solid axle under the front for now and i may try to get the engine warrantied at toyota until i can get the money to get the 4bt. I have a lot of plans for it but not a lot of money to start it.

Already got the axle under an old truck thanks though.

if it does ahve a small susp. lift would you sell it for a few bucks when you take it off. i have a 90 toy truck that it would probally fit on and i need lift

NAh i hate the toyota v6 engines so its a toyota 4cylinder or a 360 and thats only because they are free. This has turned into Project Cheap Truck. Im gonna see how cheap i can build it. Ive got most of the parts laying around to do the Solid Axle and switch engines so everything is getting done cheap.

Update: I have started taking the ifs out and im gonna try to finish that this week. Got my hangers from seaflea (thanks for the good deal on those ). I also picked up some free 44" gumbo mudders that are wore out. Im gonna regroove them and run em until i get something else. Now we get to see how good toyota axles hold up to 44's. Ill get some pics up when i get a chance this week.

Nice 4runner, I would love to build one of those. Keep us posted on the build.

Glad to help out. Looks like a great project.
I definately see some longs in youre future ( if you stick with the Toy axles. : )

Yep keeping the yota axles. Im only gonna run 44's until they wear out, they were free like most other things on this project, then im going to 38's. Again once i sell some stuff to get the budget built up i WILL be buying some longs. Im trying to kep the budget under $2500 and right now im at $1,160. Thats with buying the truck, hangers, and i have the solid axle, engine, tranny, dual transfer case, and locked diffs with 5.29 gears, so i am doing really good on the budget.

Quick question How can you hate a toyota 3.4 v6? With the money that 360 will nickle and dime you you can do a 3.4 swap and have a DD trail rig.

Again, i have said i dont have the cash for something like that. Almost everything i am doing on this is either very cheap or free. I am using what i have, but i have decided against using the 360 im putting a toyota 4 cylinder in it (its free). Either way i went (360 or 4 cyl.) it was gonna be cheap or i wasnt gonan use it. Now my personal preference, i hate V6 motors period. For me its either a lightweight 4 cyl. or a powerful V8. I really just dont like the sound of a V6. I know its kinda stupid but its just me. Theres only one 6 cylinder motor for me and thats a CUMMINS.

Rear Bumper

Hey, I just now realized you said you might sell the rear bumper. I'm still interested if you'd like to sell it for a decent price. I'd like something beefier myself, but any bumper is better than no bumper, which is what I have now :shaking:
Oh, and if you do want to sell it, do you think it'd fit with a 2" body lift?
Thanks,
~R

Yeah ill sell it. Im not sure how much. I think it will work with a 2" body lift. Ill take measurements and ill get back to you on that and a price.

Cool, I appreciate it. I've been looking into a Marlin rear bumper but wouldn't mind having a cheaper solution assuming it's stout enough to raise the vehicle with.
