New Pull-a-Part in Winston Salem

Just FYI... there's a new Pull-a-Part in Winston Salem. Its nice. You can actually find what you're looking for, and the cars haven't been stripped to the bare frames yet.

There were several XJs there last week. Most of them had been stripped of their exterior plastics, but there's still plenty of good stuff to scavenge. One still had a Chrysler 8.25 rear under it.

Looked like there were lots of other parts worth scavenging... depending on what you're looking for. Check it out if you're in the neighborhood.

I looked under every XJ on the lot hoping to find a D44. Next time I'm over that way, I'll stop by the Ford section to see if I can find a decent 8.8 instead

I'm guessing from the first two responses that this might be a re-post. In my defense, I searched before I put it up.

My buddy wanted one for his XJ.....we looked under all of them & found one 2 rows in. It's the same ratio as his front & LS to boot....he's happy.:beer:

We also pulled a front shaft out an XJ in the back row that someone dropped the crossmember out of.....that was fun.:shaking:

Anyway, I only scored a door panel for my beater F-250 & installed in the the parking lot.

I like the yard, as long as the inventory keeps coming in, I'll keep going back.
 
Was out there today. Got a sterling 10.25FF with 4.10 gears for $97.00.

They picked it up with the fork lift and carried to my car for me.

Now i just need a front axle for the same price!

nah, the axle is going in the bronco. going to 1 tons...eventually.


i need to scrounge throgh P-A-P again and see if i can find some 8 lug outers for my D44 (i think tht will work).

I've got a set of Superduty axles I'm not going to use now. D50 solid front and a 10.5 Sterling rear. 3.73's, 2 piston calipers and 13" rotors all around. Even come with wheels. Let's work a deal. BTW do you still have the Exploder?

There's nothing out at PAP for an 8 lug D44 conversion as of this past Wednesday. Trust me I looked.

Yeah...the explorer is still there. i wish i could work a deal but it isnt mine.


if you want it, i think the guy wants $500.00 for it.

what do you want for the front? need a 78 bronco 9"?
 
well...read the axle tag today. vin code was a 35 which meant 4.10 sterling FF. axle tag read something different.

4.09 dana 60FF. not a disappointing find.
