So I saw this dog on the friends of Rowan County animal shelter FB page and she only had until Sat. to adopt. Well the thought of this little one being put down at only 5 mo. has kept me awake for 2 days now. Needless to say I have gone down and picked her up and brought her home so she can have a future. I have named her Grace since it's obvious what has saved her life. I already have 2 dogs so it's not going to cost me any more money in food since she is a little thing.

Good looking dog. She will probably be a really good one. Dogs that come from situatuins ldike that seem to have a 6th sense and be really thankful.

Well the first night went well. She wined until I moved the kennel closer to me and the oldest dog. She didn't care for being off in a corner all alone but after the move she laid down and went to sleep. She even slept through the night without any trouble of. All is well in the animal kingdom.

yeah shelter dogs are the best!!! i have rescued several! i have a friend that works @ a kill shelter and if a special one comes along i usually adopt them and figure out their personalities and then give them to good homes, i have done this over 30 times thus far haha my wife hates it when the shelter guy calls!! Thanks for saving another!!

Thanks guys. She is a handful right now but she is just as sweet as she can be. Once she learns the routine and pecking order around here she'll fit right in.
