We went with the breed that we both decided on, and after meeting this little sweetie we could not say no

Both parents are champions, the father is a champion in more then one country, the mother just a champ in USA. They sell the puppy's dirt cheap (not really, but compared to what they are worth, she still cost an arm and leg) because they want an avg family be able to afford a good dog.

she is a good puppy, but I have to retrain the way I enforce rules, which makes potty training harder (compared to my last dog, this dog is a rebel when you yell, or act too alpha)

Cute little fuzz ball ya' got there! Congrats!

Westies are a great dog. We've got 6 of them between between ours, my parents and the inlaws. They're very smart but can be downright stubborn sometimes.

Booga is doing we a degree, she had to go to the vet 3 times in five days. The first time was for a check up, 2nd was diahrea, 3rd was blood in the stool.

Potty training is sucking, we are going to adjust to another method.

Besides that she is great, she is doing good

BTW, any new dog owners or puppy owners I highly recommend the book "The monks of New Skete, the art of raising a puppy" It goes over EVERYTHING,

And the same guys made the book how to be your dogs best friend... Freaking awesome. Already we have had improvments

Congrats.

House breaking for us wasn't too bad for our mutt. She only had an accident once a week or so for 5-6 weeks. Wayyy easier than I ever imagined.

We took her out every other hour or so (it seemed like) to the same areas. When she did her business, we went back inside. I still remember waking up in the middle of the night to take her out. We constantly said the word "outside" until she knew what it meant. Lots of praise when she went outside, and scolding if we caught her inside. When we were at work, she was crated. Be patient, it will come around.

I can not do anything about the dust, but if she gets muddy you just put her in a pin to fry, then brush the mud off, she will be brwn, but will not have anymore mud on her :)

Potty training is getting a lot eaiser, we just need to find a way to teach us to let her know she has. Potty without waking the rest of the house

Eventually we worked it down to a schedule. She went out the same times pretty much everyday...

She taught us if she really needed to go out. She would....
1. Sit by the door.
2. Come to wherever we were in the house and sit in front of us. If she didn't want to play or be rubbed, it was time to go. Either didn't happen often, the schedule worked out pretty good. She went out 4-6 times a day. At least one of those was a 30 minute or more walk.

We are fortunate enough now (knock on wood) she comes and goes as she pleases. Even though she can go when she wants, she has pretty much stuck to the same schedule over the years.

430 wake, potty, eat, potty, play, potty. Then we go back to bed about an hourur

630 wake, potty, play, potty I leave at 7

10 potty, play, potty (I only stay 15 mintues
