Hi all just got a rubicon express 3.5 lift for my 99 tj I have a question what shocks should I buy? it's a dd and weekend wheeler I drive it to wherever I wheel. Do I get shocks longer to compensate for the 3.5 lift? Lastly what are bar pin eliminators and do I need them? Sorry for all the newbie ?s thanks Tom:bounce2:

Yes you should get longer shocks with a 3.5" lift, the stock ones will greatly limit your flex. When it comes to choosing shocks it kinda depends what your budget is, but you can find them on pretty much any 4wd website or shop or even Adavanced Auto Parts for a lifted TJ.
And bar pin eliminators eliminate the crappy way Jeep decided to mount the lower half of the shock in the front of the jeep and the upper part in the rear. You do not need bar pin eliminators but they are good to have and are relatively inexpensive.

If you go to qaudratecs website they have a shock advisor app, just put in how much lift you will have and you will see plenty of choices. 4 wheel parts also has a huge selection. Brandon at rides is allways great on advice and prices as well!

get BDS shocks for a 4" lifted TJ
i have BDS shocks & they do great on/off road
just my 2 cents
