Im thinking about cutting off the factory crossmember for the rear upper shock mounts and making a new one out of 1.5"x.120 wall DOM. And then mounting the shocks at an angle(maybe 45*). Im thinking I may do this in front of the rear axle.
My question is...
1)Is there a certain angle I want these shocks to be?
2)Will the DOM crossmember be strong enough? The factory crossmember looks pretty wimpy.
3)Is there anything im not considering?
4)Is it even beneficial to mount shocks at an angle?
Any input will be helpful. DD tj on 37"s clayton long arm.
