A few of you inquired about my old '99 I had up for sale for the past month on the boards. Well I have been watching for a suitable replacement to pop up at a local dealership for a couple weeks and Saturday I checked out this truck, and Monday I drove it home after trading the old '99.
It had all the options I needed;
2002 Dodge 2500 4x4, HO 6speed, Dana 60/80 3:55's anit-spin, 4-wheel disc brakes, nice clean bed and the nicer aluminum wheels.

Nah, when I stated above that it had everything it needed, thats what I meant. I would have loved for it to have had leather and 4:10's but I don't think I'll complain too much cause the mileage should be a little nicer with the 3:55's. Now for a Vulcan Big Line kit, FP Gauge, Draw Straw and a new LP.

My '99 2500 has the Dana 80 rear with 3.55s as well. Dodge didnt make a srw 1-ton. Some 2500s were equiped with stronger HD parts such as the Dana 80, 241 HD, and the NV4500 HDs and NV5600 HDs. These trucks were sorta like "silent" one tons for Dodge during the second gen era.

Hell my '95 2500 has the dana 80, NV4500, and HD241, oh and 4.10's. Everything works well except for the 4.10's, needs a higher gear or a 6 speed, but ill drive the heck out of it for now.

2KFLEXJ, good looking truck man.

Sweet...I have the same exact truck...'cept mine is dark grey...

Gotta love the short bed and the 6 speed!:driver:

Definately not as clean as that one though...although it could be...if I washed it more than every 6 months...

I see you lucked out with the rainbow thatch pattern as well in the interior...

Looks like someone swapped in the Sport headlights too.. good deal.

Yeah, I did luck out with the rainbow interior (or as my wife calls it the Gay Pride Interior). Yeah Rich, they look like the sport headlights, or some type of aftermarket I'm not sure but they are nice and bright though.

On a side note; I was on my way into work Tuesday morning and I got the "dead pedal" so I check and found the dredded p0216 code. Took it back to the dealership and they installed a new VP44 and a new factory lift pump. Now I just have to decide if its worth it to wait and save for a FASS or put the Holley on there now...

Well, at least you know why the PO sold it..

I got the FASS 150/150 on mine and it works great. I just need to take the time to put a bigger draw tube in the tank so the fuel system can work at its real potential.

Go on and spend the money on a FASS system. Youll replace the holley blue enough times that it will add up to the cost of the FASS. The holleys just dont seem to last too long on a diesel from what im hearing.
