New Rotors?

I am gonna do all four brakes on my XJ. I just ordered some EBC pads from autoanything and Im getting the shoes and spring kit for the rear..now I just need Rotors....Is it a waste to put nice pads on crappy rotors? Do I need an upgraded rotor? I really don't want to spend alot...I have heard that Centric premium rotors are good to use...but just wanted to see what you guys use......My brakes are terrible and need to changed out quick...I have always used autozone specials and really want something better.
 
you might can get your rotors turned, if they arent too worn down.
 
Personally, I don't have my rotors turned. Last time I did, they warped because of excess heat. I change my rotors every third set of pads. Just my preference. Also, I wouldn't put the premium pads against old rotors, unless you want to change them again in a few months.
 
I would at least have them turned. New ones are $26, so depending on the charge to turn....
