new seats

2000 TJ, same problem. The foam on the drivers side seat is just about dead and almost uncomfortable to sit in.

that's what's happing to mine. I use my jeep for work so my butt is in and out of that thing a lot. so I need to know I'm getting a good quality product that I can afford.

.... Don't know how good they are in the long run but I know some people who have them in their XJ's.

Same here. I have been looking at and trying to justify a set of Corbeau VX 2000 with the lumbar support: www.corbeau.com. Thinking about the Bestop seats, that way i can re-use my seat covers...

I have corbeau baja seats. I love em they just hug you. Very durable, setup for 5 pnt harnesses, the only drawback is that they do not recline and if you are fat, your not getting in or out so easily. My neighbor just got some corbeau's that recline and have the lumbar, they are sick nasty! and pretty cumfy too.

Yea I am a typical American and have a beer belly. so that is definitely a important factor as well as durability.

Well if your Jeep is around stock height its not bad, but mine is a climb to get in so its kinda awkward. They are great when you are wheeling and have your doors off cause you feel safer that you wont get thrown out. I have a 34" waist @ about 160lbs, the chair fits me fine with room. I would say if you are 200 + lbs, its prolly not for you.

Well there ya go.. If you can afford the extra coin i would go with the racing style reclinable corbeau's.. Bestops are ok, but they dont last as long nor as comfortable as the corbeaus. Recaro is good as well, but EXPENSIVE!
