New Shocks For A 1984 CJ 7

Any opinion on replacement shocks for a 1984 CJ 7, this Jeep is a weekend driver and will be used on the road only

Cant go wrong with a basic set of ranchos.

If you don't have a lift or any suspension mods, just get some mid level shock from a parts store. If you want to spend a little more you can look at Bilsteins or Rancho's. I've gone the cheapest route for years. I recently put Bilsteins on and I think my money was well spent.

I like the cheap Monroe's personally... Made the mistake of putting severe duty shocks in my stockish xj, ruined my soft ride.

I put KYB's on a couple stock height dd's..cheap on E-Bay and I think they good quality..
