New state park

The nature conservancy swindled 2 of the tracts from the owners, according to the river keepers as dirty and contaminated as the river is why even want to be in it, a lot of people around here are hung up in litigation because of nature conservancy, EPA, river keepers alliance.
90 percent of the land is uninhabitable and under water 300 days out the year. No economic impact will be made there is 1 store in the Ivanhoe community.

Thats my peeve with state parks, it takes the hunting out of the equation. There is a nice state park campground down in Bladen near where we used hunt gamelands and we couldn't stay there b/c they wouldn't allow firearms on the property. I'm agree that there needs to be a way we all can utilize it at different times.

The current map has the park going from above Harrell's all the way to Currie a few of you may know that's a lot of river

I wish NC would do like SC in regards to public hunting property. I know there is a lot more open/uninhabitable swamp land in SC but when I have to drive 1.5-2hrs away to hunt public land in NC, I might as well just go to SC and hunt there and pay the nonresident fees.

If anybody would go to change.org and sign the petition
