I was gifted this boat back in 2012. It was my grand pa's in Florida i believe it was bought new in the 80s. We used it twice when we first got it. It has sat since then. It floated in 2014 and didn't take on any water.
The hull looks good besides a few patches on the nose. My plan is to sand them flat and re-fiberglass them. Then seal the hull with epoxy sealant.
The majority of the work is going to be on the inside where the drain channel that goes to the back is cracking. My plan is to fiberglass the inside any where it is needed then also seal it with epoxy sealant. Then move on to fixing the rear seat. My plan with that is to just build a wooden frame on top of it and seal it also. This will also give me a place to mount a small switch pannel to run navigation lights and a pod or two on the front.
Current plan is to rock a troller motor on the back till funds for a small out board become available.
As for the trailer I need to fix the tongue, wiring, bearings, and get new tires.
Any tips or advice on fiberglass or sealant.
