Out of need I built a new tool to use in the shop last week. It makes it possible to need only 2 hands to do a job that many times requires 2 sets. Anyone who knows what type of work I do most of the time may guess right away.

There are 4 sets of holes for different applications. The all thread acts as a jam bolt to locate something. Any guesses?

Re-center wheels?

Carrier installer?

C'mon, man everyone knows a muffler bearing puller when they see one!

Bearing installer, instead of using a press.

Or, ring gear removal / install tool

ok so lets break it down...

1) what 4 different applications would have ~similar bolt spacing.
2) center bolt (allthread) is to locate something...

My guess is some sort of adapter alignment jig. Either bell housing, t-case somthing along those lines..

ahhh, yoke puller....

Ahhhhhhhhhh.......I bet it is a tool to hold the pinion head in place while you set the outer pinion bearing so you don't have to have someone else there to do it........

Andy is right. It holds the pinion head into the housing so you can drive the outer bearing onto the pinion shaft w/o needing another set of hands.

Set up 4 Rubi D44's last week with it. It works awesome.

I think the official name for this tool is the homoprobe.

OUCH!
