aww mmaaaannn. i just got a little teary eyed. any progress on it? i mean tto tell you, sometimes you can put the key in it, and turn it to the position before it tries to crank, then back to off, then on off a few times and itll fire right up. have any trouble with teh title?

i got the rear frame rails trimmed, and wire wheeled and painted. progress i slow, but getting a new sending unit tues and ill be getting it running

did you figure out it was the sendin unit? make sure to post lots of pics. and im still up fro mtn City when yall get done with it

Waiting on a fuel pump right now but hopefully getting it running next week. It runs very briefly if starter fluid is sprayed in the intake but thats is, any ideas?

i almost bought this but went with the xtra cab instead, good luck with the build, lol prob should have bought this replacing a sending unit seems to be a little less work than a frame swap

any updates on my old missed girl?

im ready to see this thing on 3/4s 38s beadlocks, duals both with 4.7s. 5.29s and ARBs!!!

Well if anyone knows where to find a fuel pump bracket for less than $140 then let me know, but other than that the truck is coming together slowly, got some doors for half doors and thats about it. And for now the wheels and tires are going to stay, I have some 37 militaries for it but need rims and gears first.

^ha no its been some slow progress, just trying to clean up the frame and front axle, we are having a hell of a time finding a new fuel pump bracket for cheap. but hopefully ill get the old rusty xmembers cut out of the back and a new one in, also the springs will go on soon once its running

you tlakin abou tthe littel piece of metal that holds the pump to the tank? or the thing that sets down in the tank? $140??? you didnt pay much more then that fro the whole truck lol. we need progress!!!!!

update

not many updates, got the 2 in super lift springs up front, got the 63 chevies on the rear but not mounted yet, waiting to build the rear cross member before I can get these babies mounted.....

Also got an axle rebuild kit and picking up the high steer next week
Finally got the fuel bracket and pump in, just need to do some plumbing and hopefully get it running
Hope to get stared on the flat bed soon. Nothing really exciting so no pictures, but did put my brothers 2nd gen bobbed bed and looks pretty sweet, makes me want a bed

Never run them but looks good for flexing, although it looks like it would eat up the shackle if flexed enough often enough.. $.02

Those shackle hangars are pretty cool - but I'm sure you'd not want them ona rig you ever drive at high (e.g. road or racing) speeds. Imagine going around a corner, you'd have wicked body roll, could push you right over, hard to control. JMHO.

I had some hangers like that in the rear of my old trooper. Never had any problems with them. Doubt they improved much but they didn't hurt anything either. Keeps you from eating normal shackle/spring bushings at least.

we will see how well the hangers work, hopefully by next weekend they will be on. We got it running this past weekend and it runs like a champ! its leaking pretty bad from somewhere but otherwise no issues. Ill have some pics soon to show the progress so stay tuned folks

told ya she ran like a top when she ran! glad to hear that. was the sensor the only problem? lets see some pics!!!! its leaking oil now?

not sure what its leaking haven't had a chance to look, but i think its coming from the water pump
man i hate for yall. are you the guys brother that bought it from me?

anyways, is he gonn arun the same wheels with wheel spacers or is he gettin different wheels? cuz i think those had 4in backspacing which is more then the stock 85 wheels got. i think stock has 3.75BS. i noticed when i had it that they may rub on the springs at full lock. gah i miss the ole girl
