Last year I had a very nice newer toyhauler. The problem is that it was very much light duty and fancier than I needed. It was also very expensive. I wanted something more open that I could use for other purposes like a moving truck or portable work shop. I have been looking at enclosed gooseneck trailers but most are very long and narrow. I finally found one I like. It's a 2002 Haulmark and has a floor length of 21.5' and 8' wide with a rear door opening of 7.5'. It has 8 lug wheels which means heavy duty axles so it can haul just about anything I can put in it. It has a 6" raised roof for extra height and it's a dome roof which keeps water from ponding and makes it quite on a windy night. It's a little rough with some scraps and dents but the specs and price were right.

Plans are to keep it simple. I want a bed in the very front, a kitchen area next to it, and a futon and TV for entertainment. I don't plan to have any water tanks but I did pick up a camping toilet for $28 last night. It already has electric service wired in. I need to mount a spare tire on it and replace the rear stabilizing jacks. I plan to move them forward a couple foot so they won't get damaged as easy. I also plan to seal the floor to make the mud easy to clean out. I am thinking about using a two part epoxy floor coating.

It has a good ramp door on the side which could be used to load an ATV. There is no ramp for the rear doors. I plan to make some ramps on pins that fold up against the rear doors for loading the buggy.
