I just got a new (to me) 2000 f250 xlt and am going to do little mods here and there, I'd like to put a programmer chip in it. So does anyone know a good bang for your buck chip to buy? I'm also going to put some new tires on it sooner or later.

Superchips is safe and inexpensive $339.99. It should add quire a bit of power and fuel economy.

I have an 01 F250 with a 7.3. Got the super chip in 03. Its easy quick no fuss power. Works great. If you like to tinker and tweak and build lots of power with after market add on's then you will be better off with a higher end unit.

Sct live wire is a good programmer for power strokes. My opinion they are they best. they are around 500ish. I bought mine used on eBay for 300.

6 posistion with custom tunes like php or similar would be my recommendation

I like my Edge system on my 2000

Thanks for all the advice guys, right now I think I'm going to start with a new exhaust and intake. So it may be a little bit on the tuner since I'm on a college student budget.
